Seal Harbor Yacht Club
We offer a range of activities, from beginner rowing and sailing, to adult sailing and advanced racing. Launch service is available during the season and we have guest moorings for visiting yachtsmen. The Club puts on an annual regatta, Club racing, and several social functions.
Launch Service Begins on June 15
Paul Thurman returns as Senior Launch Captain and Waterfront Manager. He will be supported by veteran Captain Malcolm Sawyer. Launch captains provide great service to our members including an added layer of safety on and around the water. Service begins 15 June and will end on 7 September. Monitor Ch. 69.
Teddy Meyers Appointed 2026 Sailing Master
After two years as Assistant Sailing Master, Teddy Meyers has been appointed Sailing Master for 2026. Tommy Fremont-Smith will serve as Assistant Sailing Master. Olivia Gaumer returns as Head Rowing Instructor, assisted by Westy Gray. Staff includes Mac Gaumer, Josie Meyers, Teddy Robson, Anna Ellis, and Rye Petschek.

Club Picnic to Baker Island on July 24
The Club picnic to Baker Island will be Friday July 24 starting at 1:00 pm. Let Sailing Master Teddy Meyers know if you plan to attend. The rain date is Saturday July 25.
Members’ BBQ on Saturday July 4
The Club will be providing Sullivan’s Ales, wine & beer and a variety of non-alcoholic drinks. As in past years, this event will be potluck. There will be grill masters on hand to assist in cooking your hamburgers, hot dogs, and anything else you bring. The fun...
Sailing Program Update
In addition to regular afternoon sailing class on Mondays, Advanced Sailing class (420s) will be held on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons at the Greening Island Pavilion, hosted by the Great Harbor Dream (GHD). GHD is a joint effort of SHYC, MDISC, NEHF. --TFS
